A premium case study exploring how one law-firm identity can extend into two emotionally distinct practice surfaces — without inventing new logos, fonts, or brand language. Same wordmark. Same typographic system. Two atmospheres.
The Kurtz & Blum homepage is a balanced introduction to a multi-practice firm. Practice-area landing pages have a narrower job — meet someone who already knows what they need help with, and earn the next click.
A family-law visitor arrives in pain and uncertainty. They need the firm to feel calmer than the moment they're in. A criminal-defense visitor arrives in urgency and high stakes. They need the firm to feel sharper than the moment they're in. The brand serves both — but the expression of the brand has to lean.
An emotionally-targeted child-custody campaign that prioritizes airy editorial composition over corporate grids. Soft paper white as the dominant surface. Lighter, less-saturated blues. Italic display roles. Rounded pill CTAs. Floating Google reviews, a sticky consultation CTA, and generous spacing as a form of empathy.
KB Blue stays the anchor — but the saturated 100% application is reserved for the primary CTA and the lead-attorney mark. Surfaces and headlines step down into softer, warmer derivatives so the page reads calm, not corporate.
Headlines run at Light (300) weight with italic accents in Soft Blue — a deliberate move away from the parent site's Bold display register. Bebas Neue is held back; it does not appear on this concept's hero.
Editorial spacing, layered light backgrounds, layered photography, a glass-form CTA block, and floating Google reviews. Open the page on its own to see hover states, the FAQ accordion, the sticky CTA, and the in-page Tweaks panel.
Live previews are hidden — use the open-in-tab links to view each page.
Open in a new tabA cinematic DUI conversion funnel that abandons website rhythm for interrupted, asymmetric pacing. Near-black and midnight-blue surfaces. Bebas Neue at full volume. Burnished gold-orange for urgency. Edge-bleed photography, a Former-Prosecutor authority moment, embedded case wins, urgency CTA interrupts, and a glass intake form over full-bleed imagery.
KB Blue is pushed to midnight (#001C38) for surfaces, then ramped down into charcoal and gunmetal. KB Orange is pushed to a burnished gold for accents and verdicts. Every value pair is built for cinematic contrast.
Bebas Neue runs every display role on this concept — hero, section heads, service-list titles, attorney names. Poppins is held to body copy and small UI labels. Numbered prefixes use Bebas as well, evoking case-file headers.
Cinematic hero with a Raleigh’s Best medal, edge-bleed cost section, Former-Prosecutor authority moment, staggered strategy list, embedded case wins, urgency CTA interrupt, and a glass intake form. Open standalone for the sticky CTA and Tweaks panel.

Open in a new tabBoth landing pages use the official Kurtz & Blum primary lockup in the header. Both use Poppins for body and Bebas Neue for display (or its deliberate absence). Both honor the firm's voice and tagline. The differentiation comes from how much of the brand toolkit each one turns up.
Standalone HTML + CSS. Brand foundations imported. Drop-in to the existing K&B site as practice-area sub-routes.
